Coronavirus in Wisconsin: State and Local update, La Crosse and Eau Claire areas 4-13-21

LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Just a reminder, Wisconsinites age 16 and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone who lives, works, or studies in Wisconsin can get vaccinated for free.

State DHS reports more than 1.4 million Wisconsinites are fully vaccinated, which is almost one-fourth of the state’s population.

Eau Claire County’s percentage of people fully vaccinated is 27.9. Chippewa County sits at 25.4 percent. La Crosse County has 27.8 percent of its community members vaccinated. Dunn County’s vaccination percentage is at 19.6.

The DHS adds 402 new, COVID-19 cases today.

This is the lowest daily increase in a week.

Wisconsin’s 7-day positivity average by test remains at 3.8 percent.

DHS also reports three more deaths linked to the virus today.

New cases in Eau Claire go up by two today.

Dunn County adds four positive test results. Chippewa and La Crosse counties don’t have any new cases since yesterday.
