LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Latest figures from the state department of health services show Wisconsin on the verge of having 1 in 3 residents being fully vaccinated. Nearly 41-thousand more people in the state have finished that process.
Eau Claire County’s vaccination rate is at 36.6 percent. Chippewa County sits at 33.8. La Crosse County moves up to 38.5 percent. Barron County 31.3 percent and Dunn County has fully inoculated 26.7 percent of its population.
DHS also reported 806 new COVID-19 cases today, the second time this week with more than 800 cases in a single day.
The rate of positive tests among all test results over 7 days is at 3.2 percent.
Eight more people have died from the virus, with one of those newest fatalities out of Eau Claire County. New cases there went up by 9.
Chippewa County’s total of COVID-19 cases increased by 5. La Crosse County added 12. Barron County tacked on 18 to cross the 57 hundred case mark and Dunn County increased with 2 more cases of COVID-19.
