LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Taking a look around the badger state on the latest efforts to combat the virus.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting forty-four percent of Wisconsinites have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Today, more than 37-percent of Wisconsinites have completed the vaccination series.
Across the state more than 4.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
In Eau Claire County nearly 42-percent of residents have now completed a vaccine series. In Chippewa County, just over 37-percent of residents have completed a vaccine series. More than 30-percent of Dunn County residents are fully vaccinated and in La Crosse County nearly 44-percent of residents have finished a COVID-19 vaccine.
Today the state is reporting over 3-hundred new cases of COVID-19
This brings the total in Wisconsin to just over 603 thousand. Of those cases, 97-percent are considered recovered.
Just over 81-hundred people have an active case of the virus. The state is also reporting 30 more people are hospitalized, but no new deaths.
