CADOTT, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – COVID-19 and the impact on our mental health has become a real stressor in people’s lives. That lack of interaction with family and friends has been a struggle for many.

The return of live events including Country and Rock Fest in Cadott has given people something to look forward to this summer. The pandemic deprived music fans from gathering for more than a year.

According to General Manager Wade Asher, there is no better way to heal than through the power of music.

Asher said, “The amount that we’ve seen the past year has been mind-numbing, really mind-numbing.  So, it puts a whole new perspective on what we do, what we create here, and the appreciation people have for it so we’re just so excited to bring it back to them.”

Asher says Country Fest will be the first large music festival to happen in Wisconsin since the start of the pandemic.
