LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Governor Evers’ office is not changing his schedule after being exposed to a person who has since tested positive for COVID-19.
The exposure happened at last week’s budget-signing ceremony at a whitefish bay elementary school.
A spokesperson for the governor says they were made aware of the exposure late last night but did not mention who tested positive.
Evers, who is fully vaccinated, is not showing any symptoms and will continue to attend events and meetings as scheduled.
48.1 percent of Wisconsin’s population is now fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with nearly 27-hundred more people finishing their shots in the arm.
Eau Claire County’s inoculation total remains at 49.8 percent for second straight day.
Chippewa County sits at 44.5 percent.
La Crosse County has 54.4 percent finished with their vaccinations.
38.3 percent of people living in Dunn County have wrapped up their COVID-19 vaccinations.
