LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is also encouraging anyone 12 and older to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before school starts up this fall.
Today, they issued a reminder that those who get vaccinated this week with Pfizer can be fully vaccinated by the first week of September.
The 12- to the 24-year-old age group is lagging behind all other age groups in vaccinations.
More than a quarter of all cases reported in Eau Claire County are from those between the ages of 18 and 24 years old.
Wisconsin Department of Health Services added close to 36-hundred more people to its overall tally of fully vaccinated in the state.
It’s enough to move the percentage up a tenth of a point today to 49.3.
Eau Claire County’s inoculated total also ticked up a tenth of a percent.
Chippewa, La Crosse, and Dunn counties fully vaccinated percentages are unchanged from yesterday.
