COVID-19 daily update: Cases, deaths, vaccination rates in Wisconsin, La Crosse, Eau Claire (May 19, 2021)

LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Wisconsin inches towards 40 percent of the population being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

83- hundred more people in the state have finished their shots.

That puts the percentage of Wisconsinites vaccinated at 39.6.

Eau Claire County has 43.2 percent of its community members fully vaccinated. Chippewa county sits at 38.6 percent. In La Crosse County, the vaccination percentage is 46.4. Dunn County vaccinates 32.7 percent of its population.

The State Department of Health Services reports 13 news deaths and 481 new COVID-19 cases since yesterday.

The state’s 7-day positivity average drops to 2.7 percent.

Eau Claire County’s case count goes up by four. Chippewa County adds 11 cases. La Crosse County has 13 positive test results. Dunn County adds two more cases of COVID-19.
