LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The 7-day average of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin keeps rising to levels not seen since the beginning of the year.
Today that number sits at 2,967 just short of this year’s high of 2,974 cases seen on January 8.
In the Chippewa Valley, Eau Claire County added 75 new cases of COVID-19.
Chippewa County’s cases rose by 53. Dunn County adds 11 and La Crosse County’s case numbers increased by 43.
In the past 24 hours more than 45 hundred doses of a COVID-19 vaccine has been administered in Wisconsin.
That pushes the percent of people fully vaccinated to 53.
54.1 percent of Eau Claire County is vaccinated and la crosse county is at 58.8.
In Chippewa County, 49.1 percent of people have completed the vaccine series.
Dunn county sits at 42.4 percent.
