LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The La Crosse County Health Department is warning of a possible exposure of COVID-19 over the weekend.
Leaders say the Juneau County Health Department has reason to believe one of its residents may have infected many.
The individual, who was a confirmed COVID-19 case, broke isolation to attend the Stansfield Dart Tournament at the La Crosse Center last Friday.
The contagious person also went to establishments around the venue.
Health officials are asking all attendees to monitor symptoms and get tested if needed.
The State Department of Health Services confirms 13 more COVID-19 deaths and 517 new cases today.
La Crosse County sees its largest one day increase in new cases in more than a month with 24. Eau Claire County’s case count goes up by five. Chippewa County adds four positive test results. Dunn County and Barron County each reports two new cases.
Today marks the 151st day since vaccinations began in Wisconsin.
So far, 37.6 percent of the state’s population is fully vaccinated.
Eau Claire County’s percentage of community members fully inoculated stands at 41.9. Chippewa county moves up to 37.3 percent. La Crosse County sits at 44.2 percent. Barron County is at 39.3 percent and Dunn County fully vaccinates 31 percent of its community members.
