Cumberland man crashes car into City Hall

Wisc. (WLAX/WEUX) – Repair crews are working on fixing up city hall in Cumberland after a man is accused of intentionally driving his car through the front entrance of the building.

Cumberland police chief Hearther Wolfe says it happened shortly before three this morning. Investigators believe the act was intentional based on security footage, the man said he was angry with the police department after a family member got a citation.

A police officer was sitting inside the building approximately 20 feet from where the man’s vehicle crashed through the wall but was not hurt. The man driving the car was arrested, and charges are being recommended to the Barron County district attorney.
