ONALASKA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man is dead and a woman arrested after a crash in Onalaska. The police department says on Sunday, just before 8:30 pm, they responded to a crash with injuries.
When crews arrived, they found a vehicle on its side in a ditch. Responders found 25-year-old Joshua Hernandez had been thrown from the vehicle. Crews tried to save his life but were unsuccessful.
The Onalaska Fire Department worked to get 24-year-old Savannah Myers and her two children, ages 2 and 4 out of the vehicle. All three were taken to a hospital for their injuries.
After an investigation, the police department says Myers was arrested for injury and homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and multiple DUI charges.
The crash is still under investigation.
