EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Crews will start reconstructing a road next to Memorial High School in Eau Claire next month.
The city announced construction on Keith Street will start July 6.
The project, which will rebuild the road between Brackett and Clairemont avenues will take multiple months. It will include surface and gutter removal.
The street will also get new storm drainage and sewer systems. The city will also reconstruct driveway approaches and carriage walks.
The street will be closed to thru traffic once construction begins.
It will remain open for the first few weeks between Brackett and Hopkins Avenue.
The city says beginning in late July or early August the entire length of the street will be closed.
It is estimated the project will finish in two stages.
The first stage, between Clairemont and 150 feet south of Hopkins should be finished September first.
The rest of Keith street up to Bracket avenue should be done October first.
