MENOMONIE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – One line. One pill. One gummy. That’s how deadly the Dunn County Health Department says Fentanyl is as part of its new awareness campaign.

The department says Fentanyl is a dangerous drug that is often mixed in with other drugs to make them cheaper and more addictive, and even a tiny amount of Fentanyl can be deadly.

Illegally made Fentanyl is often found in fake pills designed to look like prescription ones. The Health Department says in 2020, 86% of opioid deaths in Wisconsin were connected to a synthetic or man-made opioid-like Fentanyl.
