EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Eau Claire City Council unanimously passes an emergency agreement to repair the historic and popular high bridge.

The Resolution Interim Engineering Director Leah Ness brought to the council was to repair the bridge and receive a budget of three million dollars for extra expected costs.

Alternatively, the projected costs to tear down the structure were two million dollars.

Multiple council members say the community has been very involved in this decision.

There is no timetable on when the repairs will take place.
