EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Another Democrat is vying for Republican CDistricongressman Derrick Van Orden’s seat. Eric Wilson of Eau Claire is launching his campaign for the 3rd Congressional District.

According to a campaign press release, Wilson is openly LGBTQ and was born and raised in Western Wisconsin. Wilson says he plans to use his professional experience in health care, real estate and agriculture to work for solutions to challenges. He says he’s beginning his campaign by calling for term limits in Congress and refusing corporate PAC contributions.

Wilson is the fifth Democrat to announce a run for the seat that Van Orden won in 2022.
