EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – An Eau Claire North High School teacher facing seven counts of possessing child pornography makes his initial appearance today in Dunn County Court.

Todd Williams of Menomonie is linked to a tip the Menomonie Police Department received last year. Last month, officers executed a search warrant at his home.

Police officers say they found several images, as well as conversations Williams had in a chat room where he asked to engage in sexual acts with underage boys.

According to the Eau Claire Area School District, none of its students were involved and Williams has been suspended without pay pending the investigation.

A signature bond was set for Williams at 5-thousand dollars. Next up is a pre-trial conference, scheduled for February 15.
