EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a credit union on Eau Claire’s South Side Monday afternoon. In a release, Westconsin Credit Union said their office on West Clairemont Avenue was robbed around 12:30 p.m.
The Eau Claire Police Department says a handgun was used during the incident. The suspect was gone by the time police arrived. No one was injured during the incident. It is not yet known how much if any money was taken during the robbery.
The Eau Claire Police Department says they are working with the FBI. Westconsin’s Clairemont office will remain closed until further notice.
