EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Colfax man is charged with what the West Central Drug Task Force says is one of its largest drug seizures ever. 30-year-old Dalton Clayton is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and other counts.

According to the criminal complaint, on February 13th, the task force got a tip Clayton was distributing drugs around the Eau Claire area. Officers found Clayton making what they believed was a drug deal and pulled him over for a traffic stop.

During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and found more than five pounds of meth in a backpack. It’s estimated the drugs have a street value of 118 thousand dollars. A small jar containing THC was also found.
