EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Not a bad day to take in some golf while helping out the Eau Claire YMCA.

130 people signed up for the 26th Annual Clayton Anderson Golf Outing at the Eau Claire Golf And Country Club.

It honors the legacy of Anderson, who worked for many years with the “Y.”

The money raised helps support the Eau Claire YMCA’s membership for all programs.

Organizers were thankful for today’s sunny weather, even if the grounds crew had to try and remove a few wet spots.

Suzie Slota, Ymca Director of Mission Advancement said, “We never turn anyone away because they can’t afford to pay. About 1 in 5 members of the ‘Y’ receive assistance. So, the $50,000 that we hope to raise today is really important.”
