EF-1 tornado confirmed in Trempealeau County

STRUM, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado touched down Monday night in northern Trempealeau County.

The agency says it first touched down North of Independence and continued toward Osseo, damaging trees, barns, and outbuildings before lifting three miles southeast of Strum.

A house and cabin were damaged, and a pole barn was destroyed.

Estimated peak winds were 100 miles per hour.
