Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – With the U.S. House of Representatives set to vote Thursday on a major federal infrastructure bill, the American Society of Civil Engineers Wisconsin Section is calling on Congress to pass it.
In its most recent report card. The group gave Wisconsin’s infrastructure a “C” grade.
“We are under-invested in many of our infrastructure areas. And so to continue being successful as a state both in commerce as well as in recreation and for tourism, we need to invest in our infrastructure,” said Ken Mika, American Society of Civil Engineers Wisconsin Section.
He says the state would receive an additional 5-and-a-half billion dollars during five years for road construction, and money for other projects.
