CORNELL, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – An online schooling program is seeing high demand this fall as virtual learning continues to grow in popularity.
eSucceed Virtual School was originally created last year to offer more opportunity to rural school districts. The program works with students from seven local districts including Cornell which is welcoming students back full time.
For those who do not want to return to the classroom, eSucceed is an opportunity to do school from home while remaining a student in the district.
Michele Andorfer, eSucceed Virtual School Director said, “It is really students working independently online and the teachers will schedule times to work in groups and then usually some individual tutoring as well.”
At least 140 students are opting out of traditional school to enroll full time in the virtual school option this year, compared to about 15 students last year.
