TOMAH, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man is dead and another injured after a vehicle crashed into a tractor yesterday afternoon. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says just after 2, a pickup truck rear-ended a tractor on Highway 12 just north of Tomah. The crash caused the tractor to go into the ditch and roll over.

The tractor driver, a 54-year-old man from Tomah was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. The driver of the pickup, a 78-year-old man from Warrens died shortly after the crash.

Highway 12 was closed for 2 hours while crews cleared the scene. The crash is still being investigated.
