Demand continues to be strong for help through Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire.
Last year, the food bank saw around a 40-percent rise in the amount of people it helped during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Feed My People’s executive director says compared to 20-19… Need is still up this year by five percent so far.
To help in the fight against hunger, f-m-p is setting up several pop-up pantries to serve its 14-county area.
Nancy Renkes Feed My People Food Bank Executive Director said, “We have 16 pop-up pantries scheduled for the month of august alone for the 14 counties we serve. These pop-up pantries allow us to safely serve our guests and also provide a wide variety of food for them.”
Renkes says the food bank is allowing additional volunteers inside to help meet the community need.
