EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – UW-Eau Claire reaches a benchmark in its timeline for a new science hall.

They announced the completion of a pre-design and programming study.

This is to show the proposed building on lower campus can meet the needs for all necessary departments.

The study for the building which would replace the aging Philips Hall was submitted to the state department of administration by two architectural firms.

The estimated cost for razing Philips Hall and construction on the new building is 256 million dollars.

Plans call for the new science hall to be open for the fall 2025 semester.
