EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Former Eau Claire County District Attorney Gary King has responded to a federal civil lawsuit filed against him in January by a former co-worker. Jessica Bryan, who worked closely with him in the victim witness office for Eau Claire, claims King made sexual comments towards her almost monthly, and once tried to kiss her and forced her on his lap.

In his response, King denies he sexually harassed Bryan, or made any inappropriate comments to her. He admitted to kissing her on the cheek as an expression of gratitude, but claims it was not sexual. He also denies the allegations he was frequently intoxicated during the behavior.

King is requesting Bryan’s complaint be dismissed and is asking for a jury trial. King resigned as DA last summer.
