Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A new federal trial begins in the death of George Floyd. This time jurors will be deciding the fate of three former Minneapolis police officers involved in his arrest. Former officers J-Alexander-Keung, Thomas Lane, and Tou Thao, are facing charges of violating Floyd’s civil rights by failing to provide medical care.

Kueng and Thao are also charged with failing to stop former officer Derek Chauvin from kneeling on Floyd’s neck for nearly 10 minutes. Floyd died during the arrest. All three officers have pleaded not guilty in the case. Their trial is expected to last four weeks.
