Holiday Pet Food Drive underway in Chippewa Valley

EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. (WLAX) — When helping out those in need this holiday season, don’t forget the pets. In the Chippewa Valley, an annual holiday pet food drive is already underway.

There are 17 drop-off locations throughout the area, including Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital. Animal food, toys, litter, beds, crates, treats and cash donations are all accepted and will be donated to the St. Francis Food Pantry.

Organizers said animals provide companionship, even during the hardest times.

If times are tough and they can’t always feed or take care of their pets, we give them a little help with the pet food and we keep families together,” Ted Maday said. “When I talk families, I’m not just talking about mom, dad and kids. But I’m talking pets as well.”

The drive will run through December 15. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
