Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Human remains found at Fort McCoy during the weekend are identified. The Monroe County medical examiner’s office says the remains are 45-year-old Christopher Doeslaere – formerly of Tomah.

On November 6, a hunter found the remains on a remote area of Fort McCoy. In September, Doeslaere was involved in a chase with the Sparta police department.

Officers ended the chase, and later a motorcycle believed to belong to him was found along state highway 16, near Fort McCoy. Law enforcement officers searched the area but didn’t find him.

Doeslaere’s cause of death was undetermined, but no foul play is suspected.
