(WLAX/WEUX) – The entire island of Puerto Rico was without power as hurricane Fiona made landfall. Government officials say the storm may set off “catastrophic flooding” and landslides before moving toward the Dominican Republic.

Authorities say it may be several days before everyone has their power back. The National Hurricane Center says Fiona’s center made landfall on the southwestern coast yesterday afternoon with maximum sustained winds of about 85 miles per hour.
