JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Jackson County man was arrested after authorities say he fired a gun toward his wife.

In a statement, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a shots-fired call yesterday afternoon.

A woman who called 9-1-1 says her husband – 36-year-old Johnathan Heller of Black River Falls- had shot a gun at her while she was leaving their home.

Heller was still there with the couple’s two-year-old child when deputies arrived.

The statement says Heller cooperated with law enforcement and was taken into custody without incident.

As of tonight, Heller has not been charged and is being held in the Jackson County Jail.
