EAU CLAIRE Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – To celebrate National Senior Center month, the L.E. Phillips Senior Center is hosting an open house all week. The Eau Claire Senior Center is waving fees for the rest of the week for anyone who wants to try out classes or activities that are offered.

Those interested can give the fitness center a try or even join in on a session of the Spanish or German language classes. Program Coordinator Liz Anderson hopes that people will come and see all the senior center has to offer.

“We think that we really have a center here that people do not know about. We wanted to be able to open it up to people, maybe someone wants to check it out for their parents or grandparents.”

If you’re interested in stopping by the senior center for the open house, you have through this Friday. Activities and classes offered are for those 50 years old and up.
