La Crosse Children’s Museum reopens after more than year-long closure

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – For the first time in over a year the La Crosse Children’s Museum is back open for business.

The museum has been closed since last March, resulting in employee lay-offs and financial struggles.

Executive Director Anne Snow is grateful the museum’s donors and members helped to weather the storm.

She’s happy the museum was able to survive the pandemic so that children could come back and enjoy all that it offers.

Anne Snow, La Crosse Children’s Museum Executive Director said, “It’s been way too quiet here, and the whole reason we’re here is for children and families so to be absent all those kiddos for over a year was just really tough.”

The museum is open Thursdays through Sundays with pre-scheduled visits only.

Everyone age three and up is required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status, and visitors are asked to maintain distance from others not in their group.
