La Crosse, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX)-The wife of La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat is facing a charge of disorderly conduct after an incident in May.
According to the criminal complaint, officers in La Crosse found a woman lying on the street after having been pepper sprayed.
That woman was identified as Christy Kabat, the wife of the mayor.
According to the complaint, Kabat approached a driver who allegedly did not slow down for a group of people trying to cross the street.
Kabat allegedly banged on the hood of the minivan and yelled expletives at the driver as well as scratching his arms.
Kabat did appear in court today to be assigned a judge to her case.
