LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Some officers were injured after trying to arrest a man for allegedly damaging vehicles in Chippewa County. Lake Hallie Police say they were sent to 119th Avenue just before 5 p.m. Thursday evening on a report someone had been drinking and causing damage to vehicles.
They found the suspect, 37-year-old Michael Ludwigson of Cameron on a bridge. Police say he was intoxicated and under the influence of drugs. Officers tried to arrest him for allegedly causing about $9,500 in damage to a vehicle. He refused commands, and spit, clawed and kicked at officers, biting one on the leg. He was eventually tased and handcuffed but continued to spit on EMS personnel.
He was taken to the hospital and then transported to the Chippewa County Jail
