Local FFA chapters celebrate FFA week during pandemic

Local News

MONDOVI, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – This is National FFA Week and local FFA chapters are still celebrating, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mondovi FFA Chapter got a head start on its spirit, by hosting activities last week. This included everything from “Drive Your Tractor to School Day” to making breakfast for Mondovi teachers and staff.

Advisor Shauna White says the chapter found ways to take part in the week safely.

Shauna White, Mondovi FFA Advisor said, “We have to figure out how to adapt to life as it is now. So that’s why we were able to celebrate FFA Week with all of our normal activities. We just had to add a couple of extra stipulations, extra precautions to them so that they could still celebrate FFA Week and it almost even felt a little bit normal.”

National FFA Week officially runs February 20 through the 27.

More than 20-thousand students across the state are FFA members.
