MANKATO, Min. (WLAX/WEUX) – Law enforcement are investigating a homicide in Mankato Saturday morning. Mankato Public Safety responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired. When they arrived, they found a man in the middle of the street with apparent gunshot wounds. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Buay Duer Juk. Juk was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Matt Durose, Deputy Director of Mankato Public Safety, says, “Residents and businesses in the area are highly encouraged to check any exterior surveillance cameras that they might have. Again, the suspect may have fled into the neighborhood.”
A witness reported seeing a male flee the scene on foot after the shooting. He is described as being 6’2” tall, thin build, and approximately 160 lbs. He was seen wearing dark clothing with the hood up.
