MIKANA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – An officer-involved shooting Wednesday night in Barron County leaves a man in critical condition.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice says this happened in the unincorporated community of Mikana.
Authorities say the man was threatening a person who lived nearby.
When deputies arrived, they found the suspect barricaded in a room with a gun.
During a standoff, the man aimed a firearm at a deputy, who then fired at the man.
The deputy is on paid administrative leave as the DCI investigates.
