PEPIN COUNTY, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Durand man was killed in an early morning crash in Pepin County.
According to the Pepin County Sheriff’s office, 41-year-old Corey Bignell was driving eastbound on Highway 10 near Rustad Lane in Durand when he lost control.
The vehicle rolled multiple times causing Bignell to be ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital in Durand and was later taken to Mayo in Eau Claire where he was pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s department says Bignell was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
