Man taken into custody after high-speed chase in Black River Falls

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Kenosha man is in custody at Monroe County Jail after a high-speed chase in Black River Falls.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, troopers were pursuing a stolen SUV on I-94 from Monroe County into Jackson county. The incident happened around 12:30 this morning.

Troopers say 36-year-old Eric Sobin of Kenosha was driving the SUV.

Once a trooper was able to stop him, Sobin tried to run but was taken into custody near the scene.

He was then taken to the Monroe County Jail.
