MIKANA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – More details are released regarding the officer-involved shooting in Barron County last week.

The DOJ says Anthony Weigand is the Barron County deputy involved in the shooting. An 8-year department veteran has since been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.

The name of the man who was shot has not been released yet and is still hospitalized in stable in critical condition.

Deputies were called to a home in Mikana for a welfare check last Wednesday after a man threatened a neighbor.  During a standoff, officials say the man raised a firearm at a deputy who then fired at the man.
