MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – There was good reason to cheer in Milwaukee Tuesday night, as the Bucks won their first NBA title in 50 years.
Workers reached high to switch out the sign outside Fiserv Forum, replacing “History In The Making” with “History Made.”
A lot of fans returned before the 8 o’clock doors open for the Bucks pro shop, waiting in line to get their championship hats and shirts.
For many of the fans, it was a pleasure to be back in the area and to continue the celebration.
“I did think about spending my whole paycheck, but I think I’m just going to get a hat for me and a shirt for my wife,” said one fan.
Another fan said, “It’s great I’m still getting over it, I woke up not believing it, it’s so surreal, that’s how I can describe it.”
Plans are also set for a victory parade in Milwaukee today starting at 11 am.
It will culminate with an outdoor celebration in the now-famous deer district.
