Milwaukee, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – It may be the hottest ticket in Wisconsin, a seat inside Fiserv Forum to watch the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bucks open up the NBA’s Eastern Conference Final against the Atlanta Hawks.
Gabrielle mays explains why fans of the team are preparing to dip into their bank accounts to be there.
Milwaukee Bucks Fan Karla Brown says she will be going to a game this week.
“I’m looking online. I think ticket prices are really good for playoffs,” said Brown.
Oscar Eidlin, another Bucks fan, agrees with Brown.
“It’s not bad. I mean, for an eastern conference semifinal game at a brand-new stadium, I’m actually pretty impressed it’s this cheap. I was expecting it to be $500 to sit in the nosebleeds,” said Eidlin.
Ticket king president John Lamoreaux says fans have been buying tickets for Wednesday’s game.
“They’re starting out at about $165 each for an upper-level ticket and lower level seats are starting around $200/$215 for Wednesday night,” said Lamoreaux.
Lamoreaux says those prices are pretty low and shares why that may be the case.
“It’s a Wednesday night. The deer district has become really popular and i think that does definitely take some fans out of the marketplace. They’re having a good time hanging out there,” said Lamoreaux.
The Bucks Chief Marketing Officer says there’s a demand for tickets and people started buying them as soon as they went on sale, last saturday after game 7.
“Right now, primary direct from the team, there’s only about a couple hundred seats left right now. We do anticipate releasing some standing room only tomorrow as well.”
Back at Ticket King, Lamoreaux says expect to pay more for Friday’s game.
“The starting point for Friday night’s game is going to be about $200,” said Lamoreaux.
The Bucks and the Hawks tip off from Fiserv tonight at 7:30.
Both teams are coming off semifinals that went seven games.
Game two will be Friday in Milwaukee.
The teams travel to Atlanta for game three on Sunday night.
