Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Wholesale inflation rising more than expected in September, with prices soaring 8.5 percent, as prices for every day necessities remain at a multi-decade high. The producer price index rising point-four percent from August.

A worrisome sign for the federal reserve as they look to combat price gains and tame consumer demand with continued interest rate hikes. September’s inflation increase is the fastest since May of this year. Over the last year, core prices have climbed 5.6 percent overall.
