LA CROSSE/EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A night to build positive relationships between community members and law enforcement officers is back this year. National Night Out is coming up Tuesday, August 3.
In Eau Claire, this year’s event is at Carson Park from 5:30 to 8 p-m.
It’s free to attend the event, which includes activities for kids and adults.
After missing out last year because of the pandemic, Eau Claire police officers are ready to have more community-building opportunities.
Officer Josh Miller said, “We as a department really enjoy these kinds of events where we can get out and meet people and talk with them. It’s an absolute thrill for us to be back with national night out and partnership with our community. We’re really looking forward to it.”
National night out is also happening in the coulee region Tuesday.
The La Crosse Police Department has parties throughout neighborhoods including Bluffside Park, and the Schuh/Mullen Boys and Girls Club.
The la crosse county sheriff’s department will throw one of its own at Mormon Coulee Park
All events start at 5pm.
