LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A new sports facility is coming to the Chippewa Valley with a goal of opening up this winter.
Valley Sports Academy is designed to bring new technology to Lake Hallie to increase athlete’s performance, training and recovery experience. The 116-thousand square foot building will house equipment and space for field sports, including hockey, and strength training.
Owners Brian and Liz Suebert say they wanted young athletes to be able to access high level training right in the Chippewa Valley.
“What people will see is a really big building and they’re going to ask a lot of questions and that’s awesome they should but what people will see over time is a place for families and kids to come together to support local talent in a way it hasn’t really been done before,” said Suebert.
The couple is excited to bring in new technology such as a skating treadmill, rapid shot and rapid hands for hockey, and velocity analysis for ballplayers.
