One display at the fair this year is highlighting Chippewa Falls’ 150th anniversary.
The Lego Build competition put kids’ engineering skills to the test.
Six people entered this year’s contest.
Builders were asked to model one of Chippewa Falls’ historic structures. They had approximately two months to work on the project.
Seven-year-old Max Nyhus constructed Northwestern Bank out of Legos.
Max says he’s been working with Legos his entire life… All seven years.
He says the Northwestern Bank Lego Build took about 20 hours to complete.
“We went down to the Northwestern Bank, and we got to tour all the way around the bank and got to get a little hint what the bank looked like. So, we had a good idea what the bank looked like, so we tried to copy it a little bit,” said Max.
Max was named the winner of this year’s Lego Build competition.
