ALTOONA Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Court records show a man was holding a knife to a woman’s throat in Altoona when an officer fired a shot and missed.

49-year-old Reginald Jameson of Minneapolis is charged with four counts of domestic abuse in Eau Claire County court.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement responded to a report of a man and woman arguing in a parking lot in Altoona on the morning of May third.

When Altoona police officers arrived, they saw the woman being held by Jameson at knifepoint, and an officer fired a shot at Jameson and missed.

Jameson was then taken into custody. The woman had a cut to her forehead and eventually told a paramedic that she had been punched. Jameson is being held on a five-thousand-dollar cash bond.
