Local News

Four people died, including a two-year-old, and dozens more were injured when a car plowed through the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade. That driver is now in police custody facing D-U-I charges Fox news correspondent Lauren Green in New York with the latest.
The town of Stillwater, Oklahoma is still grieving after that horrific crash. It turned the joy of homecoming into a deep sorrow. We now know the names of three of those who died. In addition to the two year old Stillwater boy, dead are 23 year old Nakita Prabhakar of Edmond, Oklahoma. 65 year old Bonnie Jean Stone, and 65 year old Marvin Lyle Stone, both from Stillwater. They were mowed down at the end of the parade route when a car ran through the barricades and into the crowds. Witnesses say bodies tossed like rag dolls into the air.
Dodson says: “You just see this car flying towards these people. And I witnessed the impact with the motorcycle and you saw pieces of the motor cycle flying into the air and it looked like you could see people flying.”
Oklahoma governor Mary fallen, an O-S-U alum, arrived later to the scene and afterwards spoke at a press conference during the game’s halftime. Fallin says: “I have talked to one person who was on the scene when it happened and went over to the lady who got out of the car and was holding her down until the police could come and arrest her and she was obviously impaired and out of control.”
25 year old Adacia Chambers was arrested at the scene and has been charged with driving under the influence. Investigators are waiting for toxicology test results to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved. O-S-U did play its homecoming game yesterday. But players observed a moment of silence and prayed before kickoff, to honor the victims. There are still five people in critical condition at area hospitals. About twelve people hospitalized and are in fair to stable condition, and nearly thirty people have been treated and released. Chambers first court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
