Oktoberfest USA will unveil the 2023 Oktoberfest button design at the sold-out Forks and Corks fundraising event on Thursday, June 1st from 5 to 8 pm in The Cargill Room at Waterfront La Crosse.

“The new button and button designer will be revealed,” shares Patti Berra, 2023 president of Oktoberfest USA. “Pairing the button reveal with this fundraiser, Forks and Corks, is another example of Oktoberfest’s commitment to give back to the community. This time it is in the form of scholarships for local kids.”

The annual button reveal has been a long-standing Oktoberfest tradition, but it is now combined with what has become a highly popular and difficult ticket to get in the community in this Forks and Corks event. This fundraising event also includes a multi-course dinner and wine pairing in conjunction with unique (and often hard to get) auction items. Funds raised during the auction, which is an annual sell out, go to The Gemütlichkeit Foundation.

The Foundation provides thousands of dollars in scholarships that go directly to local high school students for continuing education. This year, Forks and Corks will help fund $10,000 in scholarships, including ten $1000 scholarships awarded to high school students at La Crosse Central, La Crosse Logan, La Crescent, Onalaska, Onalaska Luther, Aquinas, Bangor, Holmen, and West Salem as well as $1000 to the Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest Scholarship Program.

The unveiling of the Oktoberfest USA button is scheduled for 6:10 pm with the media invited to attend. Opportunities to interview both the designer and the president of Oktoberfest USA after the reveal will also be possible.
